New Plymouth’s Pak ‘n’ Save building was a 153 tonne structural steel job erected simultaneously with the civil construction company.
A significant challenge was putting together the analysis and safety logistics for 11 metre-high steel-work in unusual and unstable conditions, due to modern design techniques.
Other major challenges successfully overcome were working around a full team of other sub-trades with unpredictable time constraints and within confines of an inner city site.
